10 ways to increase positive energy flow with land shapes, slopes and orientation

May 19, 2017 By nikunja Leave a Comment

We mentioned the adjusting of land shapes and slopes-with use of fencing, building brick walls and adding or subtracting earth in the post 15 ways to energise your home. Here we shall discuss it in more detail keeping in mind the 12 Vasati Laws .

Auspicious shapes, slopes and orientation for your plot of land:

  • The best shape is 1:1 square
  • The North and East are lower slopes, open and clear
  • The South and West are higher slopes, heavy and short
  • Rectangular plots up to 1:2 are also auspicious, however the more a plots proportions exceed 1:2 ratio the less conducive the plot becomes to contain and balance energy flow and communications.
  • The best rectangle is a plot with a longer North to South dimension than the East to West.
  • The only auspicious irregular shape is a plot that is extended towards the North, Northeast and East. Such a plot attracts wealth and prosperity.
  • Expansions or extensions in all other directions are inauspicious according to the twelve Vasati laws. But even inauspicious shaped plots can be corrected simply by fencing the plot to the required shape.
  • Excess or irregular parts of land can be sectioned and assigned for gardening, parking or playing etc
  • The shape of your land and building is crucial because cut corners or missing segments of plot and the building can bring about depletion of energies and losses etc. Please see chart below from book Vastu The origin of Feng shui

The effects of missing segments in your home

L shaped plots and houses do not maintain balance in terms of notion of harmonics. This is explained in part two of the First-geometrical law of Vasati. They can be corrected as far as possible by subdividing an auspicious shape, as to contain balanced energies. If your land or house are not ideally shaped according to Vastu, and you can’t change anything on a physical level, you can effectively counter the negative energies by employing some subtle methods such as Yantras, mantras and Pyramids.

Residents of an L shaped building with a missing:

  1.  Northwest, may experience dissatisfaction in exchanges within relationships.
  2. North, may experience difficulty with cash flow and communications
  3. Northeast, may not feel content and happy nor have a sense of direction for the future.
  4. East, watch out for health issues and may have a harder time being optimistic
  5. Southeast, low energy levels and lacking love and joy.
  6. South, may experience losses or unnecessary expenditure
  7. Southwest, various misfortunes and not feeling stable.
  8. West, learning problems and inability to complete projects.

Please see 6 ways Vastu determines your health for how missing segments can affect your health.

  • The plot should be orientated so that the four main compass points are on its four sides : A plot or house maybe an ideal shape but if its corners point towards the four main directions (N,E,S,W), the inhabitants will have to work harder in order to attain success in their endeavours. The consequence of this defect is that success is so often close but slips away at the last moment. If your plot of land is in alignment with the four main compass points then you will be supported and nourished by the balanced energy field created by the positive orientation.

How Does Sri Yantra Work ?

Sri Yantra 300px

Sri Yantra

om srim kling laxmi narayan-abhyam namah

Sri yantra repeats the form of the double triangle, enclosed in a lotus within four walls. it is the symbol of Sri Devi in two forms, Her own form and the form of the universe. These two forms represent the inner spiritual and the outer external worlds.

The Inner Spiritual Aspiration

  •  The highest ultimate object of meditation on this yantra is to ultimately rediscover who you really am on a soul level. Have you stopped and asked yourself  ‘Who am I ?’ ‘why am i here?’ How is your soul connected with the Supreme Soul?                                                                                                                                                     Sri or Laxmi may guide you towards liberation but the actual choice of your path would be determined by the strength of your own unique sukriti or spiritual merits. These are accumulated over many lifetimes. If you feel bereft of such merits, or just don’t know then this yantra is a wonderful tool along with its mantra, to begin the process of spiritual expansion.                                                                                       Align your mind and heart to higher spiritual vibrations of  Sri yantra and expand your spiritual bank account. The journey to our ‘centre’ or the spiritual aspiration is represented by the dot or bindu in the centre of Sri Yantra.

The Outer External Aspiration

  •  For the most of us, we are perhaps not so attuned to our ‘higher self’ or our spiritual nature at all times. We mostly identify ourselves with our bodies and for this reason we want to enjoy opulences of this world through the senses of the body. So what do you need? What do you want?                                                       Good finances, wealth, power, fame and to be surrounded by beauty and luxury? These things are very easily given by Sri Laxmi devi. Your sincere and honest approach to Her by meditating upon Sri Yantra can make your dreams come true, and there is an opportunity to become empowered and distinguished within your status quo.

The Installation

  • During installation of Sri Yantra we are in effect calling or invoking the Goddess with her mantra and asking her to transform your consciousness by displacing our negative traits with our personal positive affirmations.                                                 We can express certain ideas and qualities in our life, that we may want to attain or transform.                                                                                                                       At first the yantra appears merely as lines, corners and petals, but with the practise of the mantra meditations and techniques, we may have inspirational realisations or experience an euphoria for a few moments even. Some of us will feel nothing tangible immediately and some perhaps witness the external manifestation of something desired. The process requires perseverance, faith and patience and is totally unique for everyone.

January 17, 2017 By nikunja Leave a Comment

We have already briefly outlined how to make your business boom with yantras, pyramids and mantras. In this post we shall look more closely at the Vastu of the Northwest of your business and the positive outcomes for honouring this direction according to Vastu principles, especially the Second Basic Energetic Law of Vasati.

9 Positive Outcomes of a successful business:

Below is a list of desirable attributes discovered in case studies of healthy businesses with positive Vastu in the Northwest of the building:

  1. Good trading figures
  2. Gains from low expenses
  3. Accurate bookkeeping
  4. Satisfied customers
  5. Productive exchanges and transmission of ideas
  6. Perception and clear communication
  7. Purposeful movement for increased profit
  8. Prosperity coming from creativity
  9. Self satisfaction

How do you invite the energies that help you manifest these outcomes ?

To answer this question we must carefully consider all the eight compass points of your building. However here we are especially concerned with how you use the Northwest area of your business. The activities and room functions assigned to this direction are supported by the energies of the Deva Vayu on the Energetic level, the Moon planet on the Karmic level and the Avatar Vasudev for the spiritual level. The corresponding Vasudev yantra can be placed and activated here to ensure all levels are in harmony and a Northwest corner ensures geometrical balance.

08-nw

Ideal business usage in this direction is listed below.

  • Customer Services
  • Acceptance of Payment
  • Bookkeeping
  • Trading /Sales/ Till
  • Staff meetings
  • Items ready for shipping can be placed here
  • Daily Pantry

The Do’s

  • Maintain a constant flow of activity and movement as much as possible here. This is conducive for supporting the vital ‘Air’ flow of the building to get important projects moving ahead.
  • An auspicious business entrance can be situated in a specific area of the northwest. This is calculated from your Vastu floor plans
  • You can place fans or wind chimes here if possible
  • Place the Vastu pyramid or Meru chakra here if your Northwest is blocked, stagnant or has any of the Vastu contraindications.

The Don’ts

  • Avoid keeping heavy immovable things in the Northwest since the air element needs space for circulation.
  • No clutter, No heavy long term storage
  • Any ‘fire’ or electrical elements here will tend to increase your expenses, therefore avoid use of electrical heaters and fireplaces in the Northwest.

  • The most effective correction tool for the improvement of spatial energies is the Vastu Pyramid. The Vastu Veda Academy, has authentically developed the Vastu Pyramid after extensive years of research and development. The Vasati Pyramid’s unique effect is a synergetic combination of all Vastu correction tools.
  • The pyramid is a three-dimensional, relief-like representation of the Vastu yantras. In the centre is a transparent pyramid with a 7×7 cm basis, and combined with it are the Vastu Purusha and the Maha Purusha yantras. In the eight directions around the centre pyramid lie eight smaller pyramids with Vastu yantras beneath.
  • The pyramid is best installed in the centre of a house or on another energetic key point as suggested by your Vastu consultant after looking at your Vastu floor plans

How does the Vastu Pyramid work?

The Vasati pyramid powerful effects penetrate problematic spatial energies in the following ways:

  • Yantras – A Yantra is an ancient powerful tool that is comprised of graphic energy which has a lasting influence on a room’s energetic quality. The three-dimensional combination of the 12 Vastu Yantras in the Vastu Pyramid are magnified and projected into your personal space, balancing subtle energies on the karmic and energetic levels that are out of alignment within your immediate environment.
  • Pyramids – The effects of the yantras are energetically intensified and projected into your building with the help of nine glass pyramids that are placed on top of them. There are eight representing the eight compass points and one larger one for the centre.
  • Mantras – Inscribed in the stone relief of the base plate are auspicious mantras. Vastu sacred mantras chanted daily or at time of installation of your Pyramid is the most important part of the installation ceremony, since they activate all your yantras within pyramid.
  • Vastu Purusha Mandala – In the centre of the Vastu Pyramid is a relief of the Vastu Purush Mandala. The Vastu Purush embodies the spirit of a building and is responsible for its well-being by restoring the balance of energy flow within it. The bigger central pyramid placed on top of this mandal further magnifies the projection of the Purush’s influence into the space where it is placed.

Sri Laxmi Devi

October 17, 2016 By nikunja Leave a Comment

Bronze Sri Yantra 250px

Shri is the sacred sound of cosmic auspiciousness and abundance and when written or spoken it carries a spiritual potency (shakti). Written as Sri or Shree or Sree or Shri, it stands for affluence, grace, wealth, light, lustre, splendour, beauty, loveliness and authority.

There are various levels and manifestations of Sri

  • She is seen in many forms, such as Bhudevi and Sridevi. Most people think that they are separate beings although they are one. Bhudevi is the representation
    lord-vishnu-with-shridevi-and-bhudevi-zm91

Lord Visnu with Sridevi and Bhudevi

and totality of the material world or energy, in which she is called Mother Earth. The analogy of milk that transforms into yoghurt is used to demonstrate how Sri who is transcendental, transforms into Durga in this material world. Durga is approached by her devotees for fulfillment of material desires. She is also called “the beauty of three worlds” and in this context she is called Sri Tripura Sundari whose magical diagram is called the “Sri Yantra”.

  • Sri embodies the spiritual world, also known as Vaikuntha, the abode of Laxmi-Narayan or Vishnu. She possess the divine qualities of God, as she is the embodiment of God’s superior spiritual feminine energy, which purifies, empowers and uplifts the individual. Hence, she is called the Goddess of Fortune. She is believed to be the Mother of the Universe
  • Goddess Laxmi is a soothing, kind, warm and approachable mother figure who willingly intervenes in the lives of devotees. When asking Visnu for grace or forgiveness, the devotees always approach Him through the intermediary presence of Laxmi Devi.
  • Sridevi or Laxmi as the power and consort of Lord Vishnu, is present on His chest on the heart, as She is the embodiment of love, from which devotion to God or Bhakti flows. It is through Love/Bhakti or Laxmi that the atma or soul is able to reach God or Vishnu.
  • She is also the personification of the spiritual fulfilment and is described as an ocean of compassion and mercy. Maha laxmi is liberal and can infuse our hearts with spiritual knowledge without considering our qualifications. She resides within the hearts of Her devotees.
Yin yang with rice and chili, symbolising 'metal'

Yin yang with rice and chili, symbolising ‘metal’

  • The name Sri always precedes the Lord’s name for example: Sri Narayan, Sri Krsna. Why ? The significance of this is that Narayan is never without Her, He is the energetic and She is His energy, and in this way they are simultaneously one and different. The yin yang concept symbolises this oneness and difference.
  • She also presides over 16 forms of worldly wealth which she easily grants: Fame, Knowledge, Courage and Strength, Victory, Good Children, Valor, Gold, Gems and Other Valuables, Grains in abundance, Happiness, Bliss, Intelligence, Beauty, Higher goals, High Thinking and Higher Meditation, Morality and Ethics; Good Health, Long Life.

The Eight Laxmi Forms in this world
    The First manifestation of Lakshmi
    Granary wealth
    Wealth of courage
    Elephants, symbols of wealth
    Wealth of continuity, progeny
    Wealth of victory
    Wealth of knowledge and education
    Monetary wealth

Although Mother Laxmi is worshiped as the goddess of fortune, when she is worshiped with Narayana, the worshiper is blessed with not only wealth but also peace, prosperity and spiritual protection. They can be worshiped in forms, such as Laxmi Narayan, Laxmi Narasingha, Sita Rama and the original source Sri Sri Radha Krsna.
Sri Laxmi Devi

Sri Laxmi Devi

The ancient scriptures of India ultimately advise us all to pay extreme regards to Laxmi, and any person who disregards her is sure to fall on evil days. This means that wealth should be well protected and properly used. The misuse of wealth is sure to generate negative karma, and the resultant suffering and unhappiness that is accompanied with it.

Laxmi devi’s quality of being chanchal, denotes her fickle nature. She tends to not stay in one place too long and can just as easily leave as she arrives ! However honouring Sri Yantra and Meru Chakra with Her mantra, offers you an opportunity to petition her to remain here.

8 ways to protect your finances and increase prosperity

South - Mars 300px

Om Namo Bhagavate Narasinghaya

The energy of the South area of any given space is relatively ‘used up’ or depleted since it has already travelled from the Northeast, East and Southeast of your space. It is now somewhat negative, but we can channel and use it in such a way to bring optimal benefits and positive results into our life.

The beneficial and positive qualities generated from the South area of your home or business :

Passion, Determination, Endurance and Motivation.

A Vastu pundit who knows the science of Vedic astrology and Vastu can show you the traits of your Mars planet positioned in your horoscope. Since Mars rules the South direction, they can work hand in hand.

Mostly an open and light South can bring the destructive qualities of Mars;

Chaos, Thoughtlessness and Impulsive behaviour and unnecessary Expenditure.

8 ways to Protect your Finances and Increase Prosperity with adjustments to the South direction

  • To protect against financial losses due to chaos and impulsive behaviour you can make this space “heavy” through the use of large heavy furniture, large terracotta potted plants with sizeable leaves to capture the peak of the daytime sun rays from the South of your some.
  • Generally large windows and entrances are not recommended in the South, if you have these here you can use heavy curtains to minimise the negative effect of large windows, and external doors may be painted red. A few red coloured items; for example cushions or a rug, throws or decor will help strengthen your Mars.
  • However there is one point in the south where you can have an entrance, window or mirrors. This is where the energy of prosperity enters your premises and can be easily deciphered in a Vastu floor plan of your building.
  • This area should be preferably without any body of water.
  • Earth and Fire elements do well here like electric installations, fireplaces or heavy storage.
  • There should be no down hill slope towards the South but rather the plot of land should be higher than the North, Northeast and East.

Failing all else, and you don’t have the South of your house with any of the positive Vastu traits mentioned above, then fear not. We all have to start somewhere. ‘The journey of a 1000 steps begins with the first step’. That first step to your transformation is to ask for help from a power greater than ourselves.

  •  Install the South-Narasingha Yantra on the South direction compass point, where it enters wall of room, house, building or plot, and ask for protection from unnecessary expenditure and losses. Open yourself to becoming prosperous with fruitful investments. During mantra recital create the possibility of manifesting wealth and maintaining a continuous momentum.
  • A Vastu pyramid is a powerful remedial tool for counteracting spatial defects and restoring balance and harmony especially if you are not able to make the vastu adjustments required immediately. This tool can be utilised to help us create our own personal transformation. The pyramid’s powerful effect will make positive subtle adjustments to the environment it is installed in. Since our space is a reflection of our own current karmic play out, we are treating the symptoms, whilst the mantras, affirmations and meditations gradually cure the ‘disease’.

More About Vastu Yantras

September 7, 2016 By nikunja Leave a Comment

vastu yantra set4The Effects of Colours, Symbols and Words On Vastu Yantras

Colors:

  • Yantras may be multi-coloured or all one colour. Although yantras also have an effect when they are all one colour, the energetic influence and clarity are being amplified by the use of colours.
  • The colour spectrum represents the spectrum of the subtle energies. The colours are assigned to the different planets and each direction, and they will be used if the energy of a certain planet or direction is to manifest in the yantra. If you draw the same yantra in different colours, you will get yantras with slightly different effects.

Symbols:

  • Symbols are another important part of yantras, because they symbolize the subtle power of a certain planet, entity or object. Traditionally such symbols are being used all over the world in geomantics in order to influence the energies of the earth and space.
  • The power of symbols is not exclusively due to their psychological effect, because otherwise it would not be possible to prove some effect on plants or other natural energetic systems independent of a human observer. However, various scientific methods have brought about such proofs in numerous cases.
  • For years the Slowenic geomantic Marko Pogacnik has been performing geomantic healings of landscapes, places, cities, forests and parks in many parts of the world, simply by carving symbols of nature’s elements and natural entities in stone and placing them in points which are energetically effective, the acupuncture points of the respective energetic system. The effects of his earth acupuncture is so convincing that even city councils and administrations ask Pogacnik to perform such landscape healings in their areas.

Words:

  • The written word has a great effect in the subtle realm, because it carries its meaning in a fine energetic vibration. That means that the effect of a writing does not necessarily depend on someone reading and understanding it, but that is has an effect beyond consciousness.
  • For instance, if you write down words with a positive meaning such as love, hope, kindness, belief, mercy on a piece of paper and put a glass of water on it, the positive vibration of these words will be transferred to the water. This transfer can be amplified or accelerated, by lightly striking the glass with a spoon. You will get the same effect if you write down these words on a bottle of water in which the water is being stored. The positive effect of such affirmations can be proven by the aid of modern photographic methods. Water exposed to positive affirmations crystallizes in wonderfully beautiful harmonious forms, whereas water exposed to negative affirmations crystallizes in disharmonious, chaotic forms.
  • For this reason, most yantras contain written elements in addition to the geometric elements and symbols. In general these writings are in Sanskrit, as it has an especially energetic effect. The letters of Sanskrit are vibration images representing the sound image of the corresponding sound. Sanskrit words or sentences written or pronounced, aiming at manifesting a certain energy, power or entities, are called mantras. A mantra is a written or spoken sound vibration, which has the power to free the mind. According to Vedic tradition every energy, power or entity has its own mantra, by which it can be addressed.

Planets:

  • In the Vedic world view, every planet is dominated by a certain aspect of God. These aspects are presented in the form of the 10 of the twelve Vastu yantras. It is completely safe to apply them, they cannot have any negative effects, because they do not simply amplify the power of the planet they represent, but balance it in an intelligent way. For instance, if a certain planet is weak in your horoscope, it will be strengthened by the yantra. If a planet is acting negatively due to it being in an ‘attacked’ position by another planet, then its effect can be neutralised.
  • You can apply the yantras according to a very simple principle. If you find a Vastu defect in the house or on the plot, you find out first which planet is affected by this. Once you have identified one or more planets, you place a yantra to the spot affected respectively. In most cases you fix the yantra on the wall; the height of the yantra depends on the yantra selected.
  • The following list provides an overview for the height of each yantra. The details given below refer to the body parts of a person most affected by the planets.

Chart of Ideal Room Placements within Eight Compass points of your home
  • Using the scientific principles of the twelve Vasati laws, this diagram shows the ideal room placements within the eight compass points of your home.
  • You can see where the five natural elements; Fire, Water, Ether, Earth and Air are prevalent within each direction.
  • Positive Energy potential of the elements, weights and space as well as favourable and supportive planetary influences are best achieved by assigning the room functions as depicted.
  • You can see the Vastu Purush lying with his head towards this is very sensitive space in the Northeast (Water and Ether). His feet lie in the Southwest (Earth)
  • The centre (Brahma sthana- the seat of Lord Brahma) of your home is sacred space ideally reserved for family members to come together and socialise.
  • The Northwest (Air); your garage and pets can also be kept here. The Southeast (Fire); can also be very busy and productive areas of your home if used wisely. To understand this further refer to the Second Energetic law of Vasati
  • The life flowing energies begin to slow down in the South as they come from the Southeast. Energies are now totally consumed by the time it reaches the Southwest. The Western energies are also now coming to depletion as it becomes used up in the Northwest. As a result of the negative energies in the South, Southwest and West these areas are best made still and heavy and best used as bedrooms and heavy storage.
  • Another important consideration when choosing your personal rooms in any given space is to refer to your Unique Personal Direction which is calculated from your astrological birth data.

Your Own Best Directions

Your Directional Empowerment

Where do you feel most comfortable within your home ? You may notice you feel more drawn or favour some spots over others, For example you may have a favourite seat in the living room or you may be drawn to a certain part of the house. This brings to mind the U.S. TV hit comedy series ‘The Big Bang Theory’ where the character Sheldon gets bent out of shape if anyone takes his seat.

The Science:

  • Well actually there is a science behind why we choose one spot over another. Through the science of Vastu and Vedic astrology, we are able to calculate your personal compatibility with the different areas of your habitat. Thereby giving you ‘directional empowerment’.

Vedic Astrology:

  • Discover where you are best supported and nourished by the planets and elements in your immediate environment. Your Own Personal Direction is one of eight compass points within any given space where you feel at your best, most empowered and happy. This is calculated using the placement of the Moon planet within a particular nakshatra or constellation in your birth chart

Choose Your Space:

  • Of the eight compass points; four will be positive for you. One being your Own Best Personal Direction and the three other which also support and nourish you, but decrease in their ability to do so as they move away from your own direction. The remaining four directions may make you feel challenged in your daily activities.
  • In which direction of the building do you spend many hours of the day at work or at night in bed?  If you have the luxury of choosing the area in the house or building where you spend most of your time, then of course you would want to be in your Own Personal Direction as much as practically possible.
  • If you are going to spend long periods of time in a specific space you can become aware of how these energies influence you. With this knowledge you can make informed decisions about the way you use the areas of your home or building wherever practically possible. Wherever you are in the world, and whichever building you reside in, you can use this same information as a guideline.
  • Here’s an example:

if North is your Own Personal Best Direction then how would you feel in all the other directions? See below the tendencies or inclinations which might manifest by additional factors. There is of course no need to fear or avoid certain directions but we can interpret this data as hints to solve present situations and avoid future difficulties :

North:  gain, happiness, success                                                      +

Northeast:  comfortable, financial power                                     +

East:  mental happiness, agricultural wealth, fame                      +

Southeast:  illnesses, use of medicine, loss of health                   –

South:  difficulties because of enemies, political agitation           –

Southwest:  hostilities without reason, expenses, agitation        –

West:  riches and wealth through food, happiness, success         +

Northwest:  fear of death, agitation, responsibility for accident –

Your Nakshatra also reveals your Vedic animal and symbol. There is a deep significance of the animal connected to the nakshatras and this will give an indication of the personality, behaviour pattern, and relationship with other nakshatras not just from a sexual point of view, but also the spiritual connection. We will discuss nakshatras in the next few posts.

Vastu And Living With The Nine Planets

Living with nine planets

  • According to the scientific principles of Vastu all forces and influences of the universe which have an effect on us, can also be found inside the house.
  • By the help of the effective and simple system of the nine planets of our Sun system, we can very easily understand these influences. We can refer to the astrological systems of all cultures, they describe very precisely the forces acting upon us, influencing our fate binding us, as do ‘invisible’ threads in a spiders web.
  • All areas of our living space are represented by the nine planets and their interactions, so their positions can be seen ‘reflected’ in your life situations at home or work.
  • Any given space is divided into twelve segments. Each representing one of the twelve zodiac signs. Your ascendant or rising sign is situated in the East of your home. Northeast represented by the second and third houses. The fourth house is delineated by the North of your premises. etc.
  • Just as various aspects of life are dominated by individual planets, building orientation, room functions, building materials and other details such as objects within your house are also under the influence of a certain planet. Inside any given space or your house, there is a lively exchange between these energies and also between the nine planets by which we are affected. Your dwelling place acts like a lens which focuses the influences of the nine planets on all the residents, allowing them to feel these interactions.
  • For instance, if you are in a North room in the  of the house, you are automatically under the influence of Mercury, the presiding planet of the North. You can choose to set up an office here with the intention of administering your finances. You can receive support from the Mercurial energies which are very beneficial for this endeavour, since Mercury also fosters financial affairs in general. In this case you must see to it that the North is being designed according to Vastu principles.             You can tap into the creative, feminine and healing energies from the North which originates from the centre of the Earth to assist you in communications and general office work.  A computer is a compatible object with Mercury who is also responsible for communications. An office in the South is dominated by Mars planet and is under other influences. Mars tends to foster more pragmatic aspects of life connected to work, research or technology.
  • The following table assigns the dominating planets to each direction:

               Direction — Dominating planet

East ————Sun

 Southeast —-Venus

South———-Mars

Southwest—-Rahu

 West———-Saturn

Northwest—-Moon

     North———-Mercury

          Northeast–—-Jupiter/Ketu

  • The eight directional compass points and their planetary correlations reveals a deeper understanding of their attributes and their effects on the inhabitants. A list of body parts of a person most affected by the planets can be found here. However, it is necessary here to know the most the important qualities of the nine planets which are paramount in Vedic astrology.
  • Your personal astrology data is used to determine your own personal best directions within any given space. By understanding the quality and division of space we can know how to utilise it for our benefit for optimal directional empowerment.
  • It is important to understand that ultimately planets do not force us to act. They merely reflect the frequency with which we are resonating within our karmic journey at a specific time and space (location).
  • The practical application of this wonderful science enables us to reap the benefits of the positive planetary influences available to us. We can minimise their potential negative aspects with knowledge of Vastu principles and transform your space like an alchemist.

The South -The Direction of Prosperity and Success

South - Mars 300px

south-box

The Quality

The planet Mars represents the active emotional and vital projections of the self towards the outside world. It is the active male pole, personifying strength, courage and enthusiasm. Without its influence, no interest, passion or determination will ever develop. Mars is the planet of deed, and encourages mechanical abilities, self confidence, endurance, organisation and leadership qualities.Astrologically Mars mainly affects brothers and relationships between friends and associates whereas within the residence it mainly affects females of the family.

The Do’s

  • In the home this area is well suited for a bedroom. It also works well for a living room, a fireplace area and is also a good place for electric installations and storage.
  • In fact heavy storage here can minimise the negative qualities of Mars on a karmic level!
  • It is a good idea to keep this area clean and tidy.
  • You can offer the gemstone coral to Narasimhadev and place it in the South should a suitable place be available.
  • Artefacts or images depicting the elements earth and fire or any of the above mentioned qualities of the South stimulate positive Vastu here as is storing heavy potted plants with large leaves to provide the Earth element.
  • You can use a dash of any of the colours extracted from this Narasingha Yantra above, for choice of decor in the South of your personal space.
  • In the workplace, it is a good place for a cafeteria, relaxation area and security office, heating or lighting systems. Any room using fire, electrical storage would be a positive room function.

The Don’ts:

  • People whose constitution has too much of the fire element or Pita or those who have a strong negative influence of Mars in their horoscope should avoid this area for long periods of time.
  • Since fire and earth pervade here you can avoid a clash of elements by not storing water on or near this point.
  • This area should not be kept open and light and neither should there be extraneous activities be performed here.
  • The land should not slope downwards towards the South

Possible Negative Outcome:

  • Over time weak Vastu in this area (South) may lead the negative aspect of Mars to manifest; chaotic and destructive forces that can lead to thoughtlessness, competitive spirit, impulsiveness, accidents, injuries, financial losses, animosity and war.
  • In terms of your health watch out for measles, mumps and tendencies for infections, fever, colds and allergies.

Vastu Remedy:

  • Whilst chanting the Narasinghadev mantra you can place the Narasinghadev Yantra (see above) on a Tuesday or any other auspicious time and day, in the South point of your home or workplace.
  • Any severe spatial deficits can be further transformed and harmonised with the installation of the Vastu pyramid in the centre of your property or on the South point of your building and it will work in conjunction with the Narasinghadev yantra on your wall.                                                                                                                             You can thus nullify any Vastu discrepancies on the energetic and karmic levels and thereby create an auspicious space for you, your family as well as within your work space.

The Positive outcome:

When this direction is properly utilised we can discover prosperity and success in your life. Become enthused and motivated in your endeavours as well as protected from unnecessary financial losses.

Five Benefits Of Vastu Yantras in Your Home

May 29, 2016 By nikunja 2 Comments

1 inch yantra fan out 3Vastu Yantras are strategically placed in your home or workplace. The act of depicting a Yantra becomes a unique and personal experience for you, as it marks the beginning of your own transformation. They are considered to be the most effective remedial measures in Vedic Astrology and Vastu.

  1. Once Vastu yantras are installed onto your walls, it is as if they become one with your building and begin to benedict you with their power and protection.

  2. Vastu Yantras can affect us positively on all aspects of our life. They strive to bring balance and harmony within our system by working to fill in ‘missing pieces’ of our environment.

  3. They also represent the seven main chakras within our body and can also used as chakra balancing tools, again harmonising and energising your system within yourself, as well as your external environment in which they are placed.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                           meditation and seven chakras

  4. These Vastu yantras are not designed to bring any inauspicious or negative energy to anyone, but rather help us to align the body of our microcosmic living space with the macrocosmic pulse of the universe and it’s source; the Supreme Being, the Supreme Personality of Godhead.                                                             Through the medium of our heart chakra flows love and divine union (yoga) with the Lord in His many incarnations or Avatars. They descend in various yugas or millenniums in order to deliver and protect Their devotees.

  5. Yantra can help to balance your mind by focussing upon it. When installing your yantras so that they become manifesting tools, you can take this opportunity to address the issues in your life that you want to resolve. Let go of the old and make space for your new paradigm shift with the science of these ancient yantras.

  • Change your belief about Money
  • Improve your health and well being
  • Get in touch with your higher or spiritual self
  • Become more aware of your unique gifts and be recognised for it.
  • Create a space in which you can communicate honestly and openly
  • Have more fun and love in your life and so much more.

Consider for a moment what you would like to transform?

6 Ways Vastu Yantras Balance Spatial Energy

May 29, 2016 By nikunja Leave a Comment

What is a Vastu Yantra ?

There are thousands of different types of yantras, however in the art of Vastu, twelve specific and authentic yantras are used as space correctional tools.

  1. According to ancient Vedic tradition the Avatars (incarnations of Krsna) are the presiding controllers of the four cardinal points and as well as the four sub directions. They reside within the various points of the respective Vastu Yantras, and once invoked by their respective mantras, they open our minds and hearts to Their transformative power.
  2. Yantras have been used in Vastu for thousands of years in order to balance defects on the energetic and karmic plane. Simply by applying yantras, the energetic quality of a room is being influenced, especially if it is applied to one of the energetic key points of a room.
  3. Corrections applied on the physical plane such as changes in the building structure are especially important, because those changes most directly affect the overall energy situation. However, a deeper level of Vastu is the karmic plane, focussing on the combination and interaction of planetary influences inside the house. Such subtle means of correction are effective, because Vastu qualities mainly affect the subtle plane, and therefore one can also find counteracting means on this plane using Yantras
  4. This effect is due to the Geometric elements: In general, yantras are made of complex geometric elements, which form a geometric whole that creates a dynamic field of force or matrix of energy.
  5. If you look closely at a Vastu Yantra you can see Sanskrit names of the Avatars and astrological symbols representing the effectual planets. One or more of the 5 great elements (Earth, Water, Air, Ether and Fire) and the Devas or Universal maintainers of the cosmos, are also automatically included within their respective yantras.
  6.  The Avatars govern the spiritual level of our being and all the other levels; Geometric, Karmic, Energetic are working as subservient to that principle. This explains why wearing a Yantra or concentrating upon it bestows spiritual and astrological benefits.

The Southwest-The Direction of Power and Influence

October 10, 2015 By nikunja Leave a Comment

Varaha dev Yantra

Varaha dev Yantra

the southwest

The Quality:

Rahu is known as the northern lunar node. According to Vedic understanding Rahu is a subtle planet and is considered to be the most vicious of the nine planets. Rahu adopts the qualities of the planet which rules the sign it is placed in and its influence can also be felt on the psychological plane. The feet of the Vastu Purush lies here and all energies following the path from the North and East terminate here, after being ‘used up’ or consumed, providing the Earth element and Negative Energy potential. Rahu represents large and dark rooms.

The Vastu-To Do’s

  • Ideally any windows in this area should be smaller in size or less in quantity than windows in the rest of the building.
  • Due to the depleted energy in the Southwest direction, it should be made heavy and blocked with either large furniture or immovable heavy storage, like a pivot for the building.
  • The best room functions are as an adult bedroom, store room, stair case or as an executive or directors office at work. The Southwest also works well as a relaxation space, especially for women.
  • The Southwest wall is a good place to keep photos of parents and close family members especially the elders or grandparents, teachers and your Guru. Images of landscape with tall mountains symbolise the quality of ‘large’ and ‘heavy’.
  • This area is suitable for the owner of the property and anyone whose influence is appreciated and welcomed.

The don’ts

  • Please avoid water and fire on the Southwest point of your home or building in order to avoid a clash of elements with the earth element here.
  •  Slopes in landscape should not give lower land in the Southwest as this will increase this ‘dead’ energy in your plot.

Possible Negative outcome with weak Vastu

Vastu studies have shown water storage here has a direct correlation to heart attacks in men. Fire element either by cooking or a regularly used fireplace have shown to give digestive disorders due to wind or gas. Weak Vastu in this area will lead to craziness, neurosis, obsession, psychological problems, dissatisfaction, dishonesty and problems with diseases of bone , teeth, feet and the central nervous system. Heres a list of other difficulties that can come about:

  • Diminished Power and influence within your business or social circle
  • Cash Flow problems
  • Personal obstacles
  • Depletion of savings

The Vastu Remedies

Whilst chanting the Varahadev mantra, you can place its Yantra (see top of page), on a Wednesday afternoon, in the Southwest point of your home or work place thus nullifying any Vastu discrepancies on the energetic and karmic levels and thereby create a space where you can get in touch with the beneficial qualities of Rahu.

Any severe spatial defects can be further transformed and harmonised with the installation of the Vastu pyramid in the centre of your property or on the Southwest point, which will work well in conjunction with the Varahadev yantra on your wall. Please contact me for more information on Yantras and Pyramids.

The Positive outcome using Vastu Principles

  • Increase your power and influence within the social status.
  • This direction enhances power, fame, fulfilment of desires and strong Vastu here will lead to harmony with the collective trend, increase prestige, popularity, fame and power.
  • Positive Vastu here insures profitable influences in business and continued cash flow and personal strength.
  • The heavy weight acts as a pivot for the Vastu purush as his feet are placed here, giving a sense of stability and grounded-ness.
  • Vastu shastras say that good Vastu can help the owner be more in control of the mind.

Vastu Yantras As A Means Of Balancing Spatial Energy

Corrections applied on the physical plane such as changes in the building structure are especially important, because those changes most directly affect the overall energy situation.

  • However, a deeper level of Vastu is the karmic plane, focussing on the combination and interaction of planetary influences inside the house. Such subtle means of correction are effective, because Vastu qualities mainly affect the subtle plane, and therefore one can also find counteracting means on this plane using Vastu Yantras.
  • Yantras have been used in Vastu for thousands of years in order to balance defects on the energetic and karmic plane. Simply by applying Vastu Yantras, the energetic quality of a room is being influenced, especially if it is applied to one of the energetic key points of a room.
  • This effect is due to the Geometric elements: In general, yantras are made of complex geometric elements, which form a geometric whole that creates a dynamic field of force or matrix of energy.
  • According to ancient Vedic tradition there are eight specific Avatars of Sri Krsna, who are the Lords of the eight compass points of any given building. They also reside within the geometry of their  unique Vastu Yantra. Therefore when each Vastu Yantra is installed in its associated compass point in any home, they begin to recharge the space uplift the consciousness through their transformative power. This energy strives to align the vibration of our energy field to that of the pulse of universe.
  • In the Vastu Yantras are the names of the Avatars and astrological symbols representing the effectual planets, all written in Sanskrit. This language of the Devas vibrates on a refined and high frequency, it therefore carries shakti or potency.
Kurmadev yantra -Kurmadev Yantra for the West of your home. It is influenced by the planet Saturn who grants Discipline and Success
  • The Avatars govern the spiritual level of our being and all the other levels; Geometric, karmic, Energetic are working as subservient to that principle.
  • This explains why wearing a Yantra or concentrating upon it bestows spiritual and astrological benefits.
  • There are thousands of different types of yantras, however in the art of Vastu, twelve specific and authentic Yantras are used as space correctional tools.

The South- The Direction of Prosperity and Success

South - Mars 300px

south (box)

The planet Mars represents the active emotional and vital projections of the self towards the outside world. It is the active male pole, personifying strength, courage and enthusiasm. Without its influence, no interest, passion or determination will ever develop. Mars is the planet of deed, and encourages mechanical abilities, self confidence, endurance, organisation and leadership qualities.

The do’s: In the home this area is well suited for a bedroom, It also works well for a living room, a fireplace area and is also a good place for electric installations and storage. In fact heavy storage here can minimise the negative qualities of Mars on a karmic level! It is a good idea to keep this area clean and tidy. You can offer the gemstone coral to Narasimhadev and place it in the South should a suitable place be available. Artefacts or images depicting the elements earth and fire or any of the above mentioned qualities of the South stimulate positive Vastu here as is storing heavy potted plants with large leaves to provide the Earth element.  You can use a dash of any of the colours extracted from this Narasingha Yantra above, for choice of decor in the South of your personal space.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                In the workplace, it is a good place for a cafeteria, relaxation area and security office,  heating or lighting systems. Any room using fire, electrical storage would be a positive room function.

The don’ts: People whose constitution has too much of the fire element or Pita or those who have a strong negative influence of Mars in their horoscope should avoid this area for long periods of time.  Since fire and earth pervade here you can avoid a clash of elements by not storing water on or near this point. This area should not be kept open and light and neither should there be extraneous activities be performed here.

Possible Negative Outcome: Over time weak Vastu in this area (South) may lead the negative aspect of Mars to manifest; chaotic and destructive forces that can lead to thoughtlessness, competitive spirit, impulsiveness, accidents, injuries, financial losses, animosity and war. In terms of your health watch out for measles, mumps, infections, fever, colds and allergies.

The Positive outcome: When this direction is properly utilised we can discover prosperity and success in our lives. Whilst chanting the Narasinghadev mantra you can place the Narasinghadev Yantra (see above) on a Tuesday or any other auspicious time, in the South point of your home or work place. You can thus nullify any Vastu discrepancies on the energetic and karmic levels and thereby create an auspicious space for you, your family as well as within your work space. Become enthused and motivated in your endeavours as well as protected from unnecessary losses.

Any severe spatial defects can be further transformed and harmonised with the installation of the Vastu pyramid in the centre of your property or on the south point of your space and it will work in conjunction with the Narasinghadev yantra on your wall.

Astrologically Mars mainly affects brothers and relationships between friends and associates whereas within the residence it mainly affects females of the family.

15 ways To Energise Your Home

April 11, 2015 By nikunja Leave a Comment

How Can You Energise Your Home?

When houses or offices are built without considering the harmonisation of Nature’s multifarious influences, it is usually impossible to change certain structural and physical attributes, for instance the building orientation and shape of the entire building.         However, there are many other physical and subtle ‘to do’s’ you can see listed below. These can be implemented or suggested during your Vastu Consultation to maximise positive energy flow within your space. Some adjustments may be considered drastic, while others can be quite simple. If you have the means, they can be well worth the endeavour due to the manifestation of the many positive results in your life.

  • Adjusting land shapes and Slopes– use of fencing, build brick walls and adding or subtracting earth
  • Indoor Structural Changes-put up walls to block negative energy flow or tear down walls to allow the positive to enter and circulate.
  • Changing Room Functions– (see link) swap rooms for Directional Empowerment to better match your individual planetary influences.
  • Balance the Five Great Elements– introduce the five material elements into your space to support the subtle presiding ones in each direction e.g. flowing water feature in the North, whose elements are Air and water, for increased cash flow and improved communications.
  • Correcting with Colours-match the planetary colours of any direction to strengthen your area e.g. Mars presides in the South and the colour is red, offering you prosperity and protection.
  • Opening with Mirrors– they act like windows to open up the positive sectors of your space.gold mirror
  • Adopting Behavioural Changes– e.g. Avoid inappropriate use of ‘negative’ areas that generate inauspicious energy e.g. using an alternative entrance with a more positive energy flow to building.
  • Energising with natural images-e.g. Place photographs, paintings, artefacts or deities which represent the qualities of any given direction. E.g. A Buddha murti in the North or Venetian artefact depicting sensual enjoyment in the Southeast (Venus).
lilyNot only does the Peace Lily send up beautiful flowers, but they’re impossible to kill and have great air cleaning abilities. They flower through most of the  summer and prefer shady spots with moist but not soggy soil. It removes ammonia, benzene, formaldehyde and trichloroethylene.
  • Using Plants-e.g. Plants can assist to balance the bio-energetic fields, absorb radiation, and clean the air of toxins and chemicals in your space. And e.g. large potted plants with huge leaves can reduce the negative energy potential of negative sectors.
  • Assigning Crystals and Gems-each direction has its own specific crystal or gemstone, which can ‘power’ your space and absorb negativity e.g. in the Northwest the Moon planet’s gemstones are Pearl and Moonstone, which when installed properly, can positively affect our mental and emotional equilibrium, thus provide you with an atmosphere for loving and peaceful relationships.
  • Harmonising with Sacred Mantras and sounds– They have been proven to affect us on a cellular level-(see link)
  • Space Clearing Ceremony-A spiritual ceremony with bells and incense etc can clear old stagnant energies and revitalise your space- (see link)
  • Yantra– (see link)
  • Meru Chakra– (see link)
  • Vasati Pyramid– (see link)

Sri Yantra

Sri Yantra 300px

Sri Yantra

  • The Vedas explain Shri Yantra as a scientific, cosmic and planetary energy zone and is one of the most auspicious, powerful transformative tools used for obtaining desired consciousness and results. It is proven to be universally beneficial for all.
  • This timeless symbol of good fortune has been used to invoke prosperity and well being, as well as an aid for meditation for centuries. It’s complex geometry is the key to it’s extraordinary effect, transforming and harmonising living spaces as well as counterbalancing a large percentage of energetic disturbances.
  • Sri yantra, also known as Sri Chakra, is called the mother of all yantras because all other yantras are derived from it. It is often referred to as the ‘The king of Power Symbols”.

Where is it best placed?

It is best placed in the Northwest, North, NorthEast or East of your home. In all images the centre triangle with the dot in it usually points downwards, however In Vastu when installing this yantra this triangle should point towards the East for generating auspicious energies.

The Five Great Elements represented within the Geometry

Our universe is composed of the five great elements in perfect proportions and harmony with each other, allowing us to maintain our existence on this planet as we know it. The Sri yantra’s geometry demonstrates the significance of this balance.

Circle = Energy of the element water

Square = Energy of the element earth

Triangle = Energy of the element fire

Diagonal lines = Energy of the element air

Horizontal line = Energy of the element water

Vertical line = Energy of the element fire

Point = Energy of the element ether.

 The Design and Significance

  • In the image above, the diagram consists of nine interwoven isosceles triangles : four point upwards, representing the divine primordial feminine dynamic energy. The male aspect are the five triangles pointing downwards, representing Siva, the primordial male essence of static wisdom
  • The centre, there is a big dot (known as the bindu), which is the primordial matter or the starting point of creation resulting from the union of the male and female energies.
  • The triangles are angled in such a way that they produce 43 subsidiary triangles, which form the abodes of different demigods (Universal rulers).
  • The sri yantra has outer rings consisting of an eight-petalled lotus, enclosed by a sixteen petalled lotus, girdled in turn by three circles, which represent creation, maintenance and dissolution.
  • The lotus flower typically represent chakras, with each petal representing a psychic propensity. They are all enclosed in a square with four doors or gates, one on each side. which represents the boundaries within which the deities reside, protecting you from the chaos and disorder of the outside world.

The Evolution of Man

Man’s spiritual journey from the stage of material existence to ultimate enlightenment is mapped on the Sri Yantra. This spiritual journey or pilgrimage in which every step is an ascent to the center, is a movement beyond one’s limited existence, and every level is nearer to the goal. Such a journey is mapped in stages, and each of these stages corresponds with one of the circuits of which the Sri Yantra is composed from the outer plane to the bindu in the center. The ‘bindu’, the dot in the centre, represents the original unity of the male and female principles prior to creation point from which the manifestation of the cosmos emerges

Now that we have familiarised ourselves with the significance of the Sri Yantra geometry, we can better understand the Meru Chakra and how it works.

NB. This Yantra is included within the twelve Vastu Yantra set .                                                                  Activate your Sri Yantra with Mantra

The Meru Chakra

The Meru Chakra

The Meru Chakra

The Meru Chakra is one of the most valuable tools used in the science of Vasati, along with the Vasati Pyramid. It has arrived through many years of expert research into ancient Vastu shastras.

The Design and Function

  • This beautiful pyramid is a 3-dimensional form of the Sri Yantra (occasionally known as the Money Yantra). Carefully cast in a highly specialised heavy-metal alloy and plated in 22 carat gold; the quality materials and precise dimensions used in the construction of this yantra help form a powerful tool that will encourage the generation of positive energy flow.
  • The Sri Yantra is a ‘cosmogram’- a graphic representation of the universal processes of creation, maintenance and destruction. These aspects of the universe are represented by the three circles within the yantra. When these circles are elevated in this 3D form (as in the image above) it stands as a symbol of the Sumeru Mountain balancing the whole universe, and it contains all the worlds situated in the Sumeru Mountain, as described in Puranas. For this reason it is called the “Meru Prastha” or “Meru Chakra”.
  • Spiritual revelations are received here. It includes all knowledge and all elements. Some schools of Vedas explain that this pyramid becomes Maha Tripur Sundari’s divine abode.

8 Ways To Improve Your Cash Flow

June 20, 2013 By nandini 2 Comments

The energies of Mercury planet in the North direction are supportive in a karmic way to help you develop the ability to plan and manage your finances and communications in a productive way. This means that positive Vastu adjustments in this area are shown to improve your income and finances.                                                                                 The North area of your building is very important because this is where the vital magnetic, female energies of the Earth flow from its centre, and into your home or office. This energy circulates within the building after meeting in the Northeast with East male, electrical energies of the Earth. Here they combine to provide balance and harmony in any given space as they travel around the building.

8 Ways to Adjust to your North

  • Open up your energy field in the North of your home and create a light, clear and clutter-free environment. Avoid using the North for heavy or bulky storage.
  • If there are no windows or doors in this area you can open up the space with the use of a large mirrors on the North point of the wall.
  • Using Vastu floor plans, a Vastu consultant will help you choose the best location for main entrance on your plot or building placed in the North. This also attracts money flow.
  • Communicate more and better to stimulate your cash flow by placing a flowing water feature in the North. If this is not possible you can use images of water cascading down through a green environment.
  • Use of green decor and gemstones of Jade, Peridot or Emerald are well placed here and can they also be activated with the Buddha mantra.
  • Small green potted plants helps to encourage positive bioenergetics of plant life.
  • Invoke Lord Buddha in His yantra and place it on the North wall of your room or property. Faithfully chant His mantra and install the Buddha yantra. Meditate and be open to receive an abundant cash flow.
  • A Sri Yantra, the Meru Chakra (She benedicts Her devotees with good fortune, wealth and auspiciousness on all levels.) and /or the Vasati pyramid  placed here can also work wonders for improving cash flow and enhancing our communications

With these changes you should soon see improvements in the flow of wealth into your life, however benefits to be gained through these adjustments go far deeper than just accumulating money. The green Buddha yantra represents the heart chakra of the Vastu Purush. Here we can open our hearts to sharing, loving and communicating.
