How do you sleep at night?
Vastu is not only important for the time we are awake, it is also equally important during about a third of our day, that we spend asleep in bed. There are obviously many Vastu factors which determine a good night’s rest, for example if you sleep in any of your Unique Personal Directions. Here we shall concern ourselves with an aspect of Vastu that considers the direction your head points when you are asleep and the Impact of these Sleeping Directions on your life.
The placement of your bed in the bedroom
- The direction your head points during sleep has a significant influence on your consciousness.
- The North and South poles of the Earth has its magnetic polarity of + and – respectively.
- If you have ever played with two magnets you will know that when you try to touch together the two North polarities, or the two South polarities, they repel each other with some force
- The human body also has its own magnetic axis with the North pole at the head + positive, and South pole – negative, at the feet.
- It would follow through that sleeping with our head pointing towards the North would cause a repulsion with two positives +.
- This repulsion causes physiological strain on the human body and over the course of years this stress results in various health issues.
Perhaps you can try changing your sleeping direction for a different experience.
Vastu studies show that over time, certain qualities of the Eight compass points manifest in our lives, when we sleep with our heads pointing towards any of them. If you travel a lot for work reasons or perhaps go on vacation then you may want to consider these points when you book hotel rooms. Usually a few days of sleeping towards the undesirable directions however, will not necessarily have a permanent impact on you.
Take a look at the chart below for the benefits and pitfalls of sleeping towards any of the Eight compass points.
