How Does Sri Yantra Work ?

Sri Yantra 300px

Sri Yantra

om srim kling laxmi narayan-abhyam namah

Sri yantra repeats the form of the double triangle, enclosed in a lotus within four walls. it is the symbol of Sri Devi in two forms, Her own form and the form of the universe. These two forms represent the inner spiritual and the outer external worlds.

The Inner Spiritual Aspiration

  •  The highest ultimate object of meditation on this yantra is to ultimately rediscover who you really am on a soul level. Have you stopped and asked yourself  ‘Who am I ?’ ‘why am i here?’ How is your soul connected with the Supreme Soul?                                                                                                                                                     Sri or Laxmi may guide you towards liberation but the actual choice of your path would be determined by the strength of your own unique sukriti or spiritual merits. These are accumulated over many lifetimes. If you feel bereft of such merits, or just don’t know then this yantra is a wonderful tool along with its mantra, to begin the process of spiritual expansion.                                                                                       Align your mind and heart to higher spiritual vibrations of  Sri yantra and expand your spiritual bank account. The journey to our ‘centre’ or the spiritual aspiration is represented by the dot or bindu in the centre of Sri Yantra.

The Outer External Aspiration

  •  For the most of us, we are perhaps not so attuned to our ‘higher self’ or our spiritual nature at all times. We mostly identify ourselves with our bodies and for this reason we want to enjoy opulences of this world through the senses of the body. So what do you need? What do you want?                                                       Good finances, wealth, power, fame and to be surrounded by beauty and luxury? These things are very easily given by Sri Laxmi devi. Your sincere and honest approach to Her by meditating upon Sri Yantra can make your dreams come true, and there is an opportunity to become empowered and distinguished within your status quo.

The Installation

  • During installation of Sri Yantra we are in effect calling or invoking the Goddess with her mantra and asking her to transform your consciousness by displacing our negative traits with our personal positive affirmations.                                                 We can express certain ideas and qualities in our life, that we may want to attain or transform.                                                                                                                       At first the yantra appears merely as lines, corners and petals, but with the practise of the mantra meditations and techniques, we may have inspirational realisations or experience an euphoria for a few moments even. Some of us will feel nothing tangible immediately and some perhaps witness the external manifestation of something desired. The process requires perseverance, faith and patience and is totally unique for everyone.

8 ways to protect your finances and increase prosperity

South - Mars 300px

Om Namo Bhagavate Narasinghaya

The energy of the South area of any given space is relatively ‘used up’ or depleted since it has already travelled from the Northeast, East and Southeast of your space. It is now somewhat negative, but we can channel and use it in such a way to bring optimal benefits and positive results into our life.

The beneficial and positive qualities generated from the South area of your home or business :

Passion, Determination, Endurance and Motivation.

A Vastu pundit who knows the science of Vedic astrology and Vastu can show you the traits of your Mars planet positioned in your horoscope. Since Mars rules the South direction, they can work hand in hand.

Mostly an open and light South can bring the destructive qualities of Mars;

Chaos, Thoughtlessness and Impulsive behaviour and unnecessary Expenditure.

8 ways to Protect your Finances and Increase Prosperity with adjustments to the South direction

  • To protect against financial losses due to chaos and impulsive behaviour you can make this space “heavy” through the use of large heavy furniture, large terracotta potted plants with sizeable leaves to capture the peak of the daytime sun rays from the South of your some.
  • Generally large windows and entrances are not recommended in the South, if you have these here you can use heavy curtains to minimise the negative effect of large windows, and external doors may be painted red. A few red coloured items; for example cushions or a rug, throws or decor will help strengthen your Mars.
  • However there is one point in the south where you can have an entrance, window or mirrors. This is where the energy of prosperity enters your premises and can be easily deciphered in a Vastu floor plan of your building.
  • This area should be preferably without any body of water.
  • Earth and Fire elements do well here like electric installations, fireplaces or heavy storage.
  • There should be no down hill slope towards the South but rather the plot of land should be higher than the North, Northeast and East.

Failing all else, and you don’t have the South of your house with any of the positive Vastu traits mentioned above, then fear not. We all have to start somewhere. ‘The journey of a 1000 steps begins with the first step’. That first step to your transformation is to ask for help from a power greater than ourselves.

  •  Install the South-Narasingha Yantra on the South direction compass point, where it enters wall of room, house, building or plot, and ask for protection from unnecessary expenditure and losses. Open yourself to becoming prosperous with fruitful investments. During mantra recital create the possibility of manifesting wealth and maintaining a continuous momentum.
  • A Vastu pyramid is a powerful remedial tool for counteracting spatial defects and restoring balance and harmony especially if you are not able to make the vastu adjustments required immediately. This tool can be utilised to help us create our own personal transformation. The pyramid’s powerful effect will make positive subtle adjustments to the environment it is installed in. Since our space is a reflection of our own current karmic play out, we are treating the symptoms, whilst the mantras, affirmations and meditations gradually cure the ‘disease’.

vastu yantra set4The Effects of Colours, Symbols and Words On Vastu Yantras

Colors:

  • Yantras may be multi-coloured or all one colour. Although yantras also have an effect when they are all one colour, the energetic influence and clarity are being amplified by the use of colours.
  • The colour spectrum represents the spectrum of the subtle energies. The colours are assigned to the different planets and each direction, and they will be used if the energy of a certain planet or direction is to manifest in the yantra. If you draw the same yantra in different colours, you will get yantras with slightly different effects.

Symbols:

  • Symbols are another important part of yantras, because they symbolize the subtle power of a certain planet, entity or object. Traditionally such symbols are being used all over the world in geomantics in order to influence the energies of the earth and space.
  • The power of symbols is not exclusively due to their psychological effect, because otherwise it would not be possible to prove some effect on plants or other natural energetic systems independent of a human observer. However, various scientific methods have brought about such proofs in numerous cases.
  • For years the Slowenic geomantic Marko Pogacnik has been performing geomantic healings of landscapes, places, cities, forests and parks in many parts of the world, simply by carving symbols of nature’s elements and natural entities in stone and placing them in points which are energetically effective, the acupuncture points of the respective energetic system. The effects of his earth acupuncture is so convincing that even city councils and administrations ask Pogacnik to perform such landscape healings in their areas.

Words:

  • The written word has a great effect in the subtle realm, because it carries its meaning in a fine energetic vibration. That means that the effect of a writing does not necessarily depend on someone reading and understanding it, but that is has an effect beyond consciousness.
  • For instance, if you write down words with a positive meaning such as love, hope, kindness, belief, mercy on a piece of paper and put a glass of water on it, the positive vibration of these words will be transferred to the water. This transfer can be amplified or accelerated, by lightly striking the glass with a spoon. You will get the same effect if you write down these words on a bottle of water in which the water is being stored. The positive effect of such affirmations can be proven by the aid of modern photographic methods. Water exposed to positive affirmations crystallizes in wonderfully beautiful harmonious forms, whereas water exposed to negative affirmations crystallizes in disharmonious, chaotic forms.
  • For this reason, most yantras contain written elements in addition to the geometric elements and symbols. In general these writings are in Sanskrit, as it has an especially energetic effect. The letters of Sanskrit are vibration images representing the sound image of the corresponding sound. Sanskrit words or sentences written or pronounced, aiming at manifesting a certain energy, power or entities, are called mantras. A mantra is a written or spoken sound vibration, which has the power to free the mind. According to Vedic tradition every energy, power or entity has its own mantra, by which it can be addressed.

Planets:

  • In the Vedic world view, every planet is dominated by a certain aspect of God. These aspects are presented in the form of the 10 of the twelve Vastu yantras. It is completely safe to apply them, they cannot have any negative effects, because they do not simply amplify the power of the planet they represent, but balance it in an intelligent way. For instance, if a certain planet is weak in your horoscope, it will be strengthened by the yantra. If a planet is acting negatively due to it being in an ‘attacked’ position by another planet, then its effect can be neutralised.
  • You can apply the yantras according to a very simple principle. If you find a Vastu defect in the house or on the plot, you find out first which planet is affected by this. Once you have identified one or more planets, you place a yantra to the spot affected respectively. In most cases you fix the yantra on the wall; the height of the yantra depends on the yantra selected.
  • The following list provides an overview for the height of each yantra. The details given below refer to the body parts of a person most affected by the planets.

10 Steps to activate your Yantra

March 23, 2016 By nikunja 1 Comment

Preparation

  • girl prayingAfter showering and in clean clothes, you can calm the mind to prepare for the puja.
  • You can do pranayama or take deep and slow, focused breaths.
  • You may want to check your mantra pronunciation with the Vastu Sacred Mantras album or play it in the background to help create the associated ambience.
  • A Vastu Yantra is placed upon the wall, in one of the eight compass points of your building. (Vastu Yantra set comes with simple instructions on how to do this.) Or place the Yantra on a table (with clean cloth) with a small bell, a lighter, incense and holder, candle or ghee lamp with wicks, small conch, new handkerchief and fresh flowers.

How to activate your yantra ? (Puja)

  1. Ring a small bell with your left hand (optional) and place your fourth finger of right hand on the exact centre point or bindhu of your yantra.
  2. Chant the associated mantra for your yantra or simply ‘AUM’ at least three times to invoke the presiding deity or Avatar of the yantra. Remove your finger
  3. You can offer incense in clockwise circular motions. A pleasant aroma is created to welcome your Avatar and it also represents your desires.
  4. Next carefully light a candle or ghee lamp and offer as the incense. This fire represents our soul. Our very self that is being offered in this quest for self discovery and self fulfilment. It is the desire for truth and light to be awakened within us, simultaneously aligning us with the Cosmic Pulse.
  5. Offer water in a small conch shell or any clean and unused vessel, and meditate as if you are bathing the Yantra. (optional)
  6. A small clean handkerchief or paper napkin is offered as a means of ‘drying’ the deity after the bath. (optional)
  7. Fresh fragrant flowers are offered by circling seven times around the Yantra. They represent your heart which you want to align with the personality of the Yantra and become a receptacle of their blessings.
  8. Fresh or dry fruits can also be lovingly offered to the Avatar residing within your yantra. This offering represents our self sacrifice and surrender. These remnants or prashad are considered to have powerful shakti or potency due to being infused high frequency vibrations. The sanctified food can be eaten and shared afterwards.
  9. Meditate by gazing upon your Yantra, Focus on the positive outcome of any particular issue in your life with positive affirmations. You might want to formulate a personal aim and let it accompany the ceremony in the form of a prayer or meditation. You could wish that negative energies be completely removed from your house or that the inhabitants be protected from any negative influences. Every wish, spoken for the good of all, is possible.
  10. Conclude the procedure with a bow and folded hands out of love and gratitude for all gifts past, present and future.

Congratulations your Yantra is now installed !

conch
NB. The most important way to maintain the potency of the yantra is by its mantra recital. You can repeat the whole or any part of the procedure as you feel inspired to and charge up your yantras. A similar and yet more elaborate Vastu puja ceremony is performed by the Vastu pandit when installing the Vasati pyramid and Meru Chakra in the home and business.
(After finishing with items which already offered, sprinkle water on your hands to make them fresh and clean for offering the next item. All the items once offered in the ceremony should not be offered again.)
