10 ways to increase positive energy flow with land shapes, slopes and orientation

May 19, 2017 By nikunja Leave a Comment

We mentioned the adjusting of land shapes and slopes-with use of fencing, building brick walls and adding or subtracting earth in the post 15 ways to energise your home. Here we shall discuss it in more detail keeping in mind the 12 Vasati Laws .

Auspicious shapes, slopes and orientation for your plot of land:

  • The best shape is 1:1 square
  • The North and East are lower slopes, open and clear
  • The South and West are higher slopes, heavy and short
  • Rectangular plots up to 1:2 are also auspicious, however the more a plots proportions exceed 1:2 ratio the less conducive the plot becomes to contain and balance energy flow and communications.
  • The best rectangle is a plot with a longer North to South dimension than the East to West.
  • The only auspicious irregular shape is a plot that is extended towards the North, Northeast and East. Such a plot attracts wealth and prosperity.
  • Expansions or extensions in all other directions are inauspicious according to the twelve Vasati laws. But even inauspicious shaped plots can be corrected simply by fencing the plot to the required shape.
  • Excess or irregular parts of land can be sectioned and assigned for gardening, parking or playing etc
  • The shape of your land and building is crucial because cut corners or missing segments of plot and the building can bring about depletion of energies and losses etc. Please see chart below from book Vastu The origin of Feng shui

The effects of missing segments in your home

L shaped plots and houses do not maintain balance in terms of notion of harmonics. This is explained in part two of the First-geometrical law of Vasati. They can be corrected as far as possible by subdividing an auspicious shape, as to contain balanced energies. If your land or house are not ideally shaped according to Vastu, and you can’t change anything on a physical level, you can effectively counter the negative energies by employing some subtle methods such as Yantras, mantras and Pyramids.

Residents of an L shaped building with a missing:

  1.  Northwest, may experience dissatisfaction in exchanges within relationships.
  2. North, may experience difficulty with cash flow and communications
  3. Northeast, may not feel content and happy nor have a sense of direction for the future.
  4. East, watch out for health issues and may have a harder time being optimistic
  5. Southeast, low energy levels and lacking love and joy.
  6. South, may experience losses or unnecessary expenditure
  7. Southwest, various misfortunes and not feeling stable.
  8. West, learning problems and inability to complete projects.

Please see 6 ways Vastu determines your health for how missing segments can affect your health.

  • The plot should be orientated so that the four main compass points are on its four sides : A plot or house maybe an ideal shape but if its corners point towards the four main directions (N,E,S,W), the inhabitants will have to work harder in order to attain success in their endeavours. The consequence of this defect is that success is so often close but slips away at the last moment. If your plot of land is in alignment with the four main compass points then you will be supported and nourished by the balanced energy field created by the positive orientation.

First Geometrical Law of Vasati I

April 8, 2017 By nikunja Leave a Comment

We have introduced the 12 Laws of Success for Healthy Living and Building and mentioned the 12 Vasati laws in earlier posts. Here in part I, we explore the First of the Four Geometric Laws.

 Four Geometrical laws

    1. The Effect of Proportions
    2. The Effect of measures
    3. Energy Lines and Energy Spots in Space
    4. Energy Quality of Grid Fields
  • The first four Energetic Laws of Vasati describe the energy fields that pervade a plot of land, house and room. However the quality of any given energy field is also influenced by its geometry.
  • The First and Second geometrical Vasati Laws describe in which way proportions and measures influence spatial quality. The physical laws of vibration and resonance underlie these two laws which indicate the proportions and measurements required to create harmonic vibration fields.
  • The third and fourth geometrical Vasati laws describe the inner geometry of the energy fields being created. Every field that is limited is space possesses an inner interference pattern that contains especially prominent points, lines and planes. The significance and quality of these geometrical elements within a room and building are demonstrated by the third and fourth geometrical laws which we will cover in the posts to follow.

Energy Quality of Grid Fields: Space is divided into 81 different fields of qualitative energy that are arranged in 5 concentric rings.

First Geometrical law

The first geometrical Vasati law is the effects of proportions. This rules that only in orderly shaped rooms with mainly whole number proportions, i.e. side ratios, can harmonious energy fields be created. Many of us are familiar with the law if whole number intervals from acoustics and music. Intervals like  1:2 (octave),  2:3 (fifth)  or  3:4 (fourth)  are perceived as harmonious while even slight deviations from the pure intervals diminish the clarity and purity of the sound. Correspondingly Vasati prefers whole number side ratios like 4:4 (square) or 4:5.                                                              Besides the proportions that are derived from the quartering of the side length, side ratios like 4:6 and 4:7  create harmonious room energies as well, because the room is being structured with number four, respectively eight. The quality that is achieved with a certain proportion corresponds to the musical tone quality of the corresponding interval. We will address the utility of harmonious proportions in Vasati in more detail for future posts.

  • Proportions in Vasati: Proportions is the ratio between two lines. The eyes see a link between them and develop a qualitative impression that corresponds to the sound quality of a musical interval. Just as ones inner ear perceives specific sound intervals as harmonious or as dissonant, the eyes similarly see certain line ratios as harmonious or disharmonious.                                                                           Although this perception is subjective and to a certain extent dependant upon a person’s cultural background, there are universal laws of nature that depict the qualitative effect of proportions or intervals on living systems.                                   These laws are summarised by the notion of harmonics. Harmonics help to establish harmony or union and an opening or channel for the descension of the cosmic pulse from the spiritual to the material dimension. The ‘numerical’ quality and denomination is the agent or language for this harmony.
